Mac Danzig and Gabe Ruediger file a new lawsuit against the UFC

Another class action lawsuit has been filed against Zuffa, this time by Mac Danzig and Gabe Ruediger.

Written by Anton TabuenaA fourth class action lawsuit has just been filed against Zuffa, LLC in the Northern District of California. This time, the Plaintiffs named are former UFC lightweights Mac Danzig and Gabe Ruediger.

BloodyElbow.com has obtained the documents from said filings. The suit is very similar to the first three cases filed by UFC veterans including Jon Fitch,

Cung Le, Brandon Vera, Javier Vasquez and others, with a noticeable difference being a new law firm that's involved. 'Spector Roseman Kodroff and Willis P.C.' is now named on this suit with Danzig and Ruediger, along Joseph Saveri Law Firm which has been part of the other filings.

Ruediger was a former lightweight champion of the WEC, a promotion that Zuffa purchased, before having two stints with the UFC. He was a part of The Ultimate Fighter 5 and had a short stay with the promotion in 2006. After going through the regional circuit he returned with two more bouts with the promotion from 2010 - 2011.

Danzig on the other hand, was with the UFC for over 7 years and has compiled a 5-8 record with the promotion and 21-12-1 overall. He retired from active competition on March 2014 citing an accumulation of concussion and brain damage as the reason for leaving the sport.

The TUF 6 alum was also recently vocal about the UFC lawsuit, making him a bit of an interesting inclusion to the list of fighters involved on the case.

As with the progress on other fronts of the case, the UFC has recently filed motions to change the venue from Northern California to their home base of Nevada, and to move up a hearing from May to March. The Plaintiffs' law firms have also subpoenaed for Twitter and YouTube records of over 25 online accounts from the promotion and its executives.
